Run wires from both ends of the cut wire to the switch on the shifter. Put slip on terminals on the ends of the lengthened wire. Crimp the terminals onto the wires using a crimping tool or pliers.Chevy brought two white wires, two light green wires, and too purple wires through the same harness to the neutral safety switch, and I can’t differentiate which wire is supposed to go were when wiring a new connector into the harness. This should be the dark and light green wires. then put the truck in neutral, and the other tabs should be connected electrically (switch closed).The red wire is the main power feed to the car and probably goes to the fuse panel. That one should be left alone. The purple wire is the one which pulls in the starter solenoid. That one goes to the SOL terminal on the ignition switch, but on an automatic car it would go through the NSS first..
